In cleaning the canoes a few weeks ago, Gill had noticed that the keels were developing memory indents where they touched the cross bars of the wooden frames supporting them. Several volunteers, therefore, went down to the store on Tuesday 2.12.14 and turned the boats over so that they now sit more comfortably on their gunnels. The next stage is to have them all hibernating peacefully on carpet padding so that they no longer touch any bare wood.
We await Gill’s imminent conversion to laminate flooring in her house and we will have the necessary Axminster twill for the job.
