Work began today at Upper Ynysmeudwy Lock. Fourteen volunteers from all over the UK  (including one from France)  arrived in their shiny red van from the Ynyscedwyn Scout Hut where they are staying to  do some long overdue repairs to the structure of the lock. Above, Ian Gaston, the team leader,  gives a briefing on the planned activity to the bywash of the lock to the assembled troops.
