TUESDAY 13TH NOVEMBER: WORK PARTY MEETS AT BROWNSTERS CAFE, HIGH STREET, CLYDACH BETWEEN 8.00 AND 8.45 AM. THE WORK DAY WILL START AT 9.00AM WITH THE OPEN MONTHLY MEETING OF THE SCS TO BE HELD FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE SITE OFFICE IN THE CLYDACH BURIED LOCK SITE IN PONTARDAWE ROAD.  PLEASE LEAVE CARS IN COED GWILYM PARK CAR PARK AND WALK TO THE SITE. THE MEETING WILL FINISH BY 11.00AM AT THE LATEST. IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO  ATTEND THERE WILL BE WORK TO BE DONE DENAILING TIMBERS, LAYING COPING STONES AND REMOVING MORE CANADIAN POND WEED NORTH OF THE MOND LOCK. THE WORK DAY WILL FINISH SLIGHTLY LATER THAN USUAL  AROUND 2.30PM.

FRIDAY 16TH NOVEMBER: SWANSEA CANAL SOCIETY IS FEATURED IN TONIGHTS ‘COAST AND COUNTRY’ ON ITV TV AT 8.00PM. SION JENKINS AND HIS CAMERA CREW VISITED OUR VOLUNTEERS ON OCTOBER 21ST AND WE ARE DLEIGHTED THAT WE HAVE A PRIME TIME SLOT  TO PUBLICIZE OUR WORK AND THE PLANS FOR THE RESTORATION OF OUR HISTORIC CANAL.
