Another small but beautifully formed and socially distanced work party today in and around the Canoe Store in Coed Gwilym Park. Unfortunately, there was drizzle all morning that turned to heavy rain by 1pm. Many thanks to Ronnie for providing the photos and text.

Gill and Annette tried out a floating platform and slide board and then Annette tested grab rails to lift out of the boats, whilst in the cradle/rollers.

Gill took to the water and collected a bag of rubbish from the canal.

Mike cleared vegetation from the paving stones, around the edges and slipway.

Wasps are nesting in the bird box, busy flying in and out.

Ronnie removed the vegetation, sweet up and talked to people walking on the towpath. It is so important to maintain contact with our friends and fellow canal users.

And finally, the volunteers discussed future plans for the canoe and kayak hire and the paint for the side of the canoe store.

Another successful work party that showed what can be done safely. Many thanks to all the volunteers.
