Storm Francis gave us a very wet and windy day so relatively few volunteers braved the elements and everything took much longer to do than usual. The canal was very full as water rushed down the feeder streams.

Alan T built a bonfire, in the by-wash of the Hidden Lock site, to burn off wood collected from the grill. Quite a lot of the wood had been previously placed in heaps in the yard so Alan set to lighting the fire against adverse conditions.

The other valiant volunteers assembled in Coed Gwilym Park. Annette brought her remodeled launching ramp and Gill bravely tried it out.

Mike and Gordon repaired one of the racks used for the buoyancy aids by placing a brace in each corner. Paul did a great job holding the screws.

John G collected the cement mixer and bags, to store them in the yard.

So, all-in-all, quite a lot was achieved by relatively few volunteers in atrocious conditions. Well done everyone.

Thanks to Paul and Ronnie for providing the photos.
