Sunday 27th September: Canoes & Kayaks for hire at Coed Gwilym Park, Clydach. First hire 10:30am, last hire 2pm. Cost of 45 minute hire: Canadian canoe £10; Raft (two canoes) £15; Single kayak £5, Double kayak £8. Full details and conditions under “Canoe Hire” on this website.

This will be the last regular session this year. The Society is so grateful to its volunteers for providing a COVID-safe service over recent weeks and to those that used the service for their patience and understanding.

Please note that canoe and kayak hire may be subject to change at short notice due to COVID-19 safety precautions, weather conditions and the availability of volunteers. Advance booking is not necessary.

Work Party Tuesday 29th September:

***** CHANGE OF PLAN DUE TO COVID LOCKDOWN IN SWANSEA and NEATH PORT TALBOT *****

The local lockdown regulations recently imposed upon Swansea state that non-essential travel out of and into the Swansea area is not permitted. The local lockdown regulations recently imposed upon Neath Port Talbot state that non-essential travel out of and into the Neath Port Talbot area is not permitted. 

Therefore, two work parties will operate:

Volunteers living in the Swansea area: Meet at the Hidden Lock site in Clydach at 9am. Tasks within the site will be allocated upon arrival.

Volunteers living in the Neath Port Talbot area: Meet at Holly Street Bridge, Pontardawe at 9am. Cae Pandy Park and the canal between the bridges will be cleared. Please bring your own tools.

Volunteers living in any other area should not attend either work party.
