Once more, the Society, and indeed the whole nation, languishes in lockdown. Volunteer sessions are suspended for the foreseeable future. Christmas this year will be very different for all of us. We all hope for a very much better 2021.

Here is a little bit of Christmas cheer from Michelle, one of the Society’s long-standing volunteers and life member. Michelle has been keeping an eye on the canal north of Pontardawe more-or-less single-handedly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. She has been walking the canal most days clearing fallen branches, cutting back over-hanging vegetation, etc. in order to ensure safe passage along the towpath.

Amongst her many talents, Michelle is a skilled model maker. She has kindly given the Society permission to show her outstanding models of the delivery of presents to the family living in the lengthsman’s hut at Ynysmeudwy.

Nadolig Llawen a Blwyddyn Newydd Dda.
