We were delighted to welcome Mikk Bradley, Martin Danks and Bev Williams from the Waterway Recovery Group (WRG) to the Swansea Canal. They were there to inspect the accommodation in Ynyscedwyn and the work site at Trebanos Lock prior to any possible Work Camp being held on the canal in September. Of course this will all depend on the continuing fall in COVID infections but to have such enthusiasm and positivity from the WRG is a real boost for us all. The enthusiasm was equally evident from Geraint Williams, the Accommodation Manager, who will do all he can to ensure the premises comply with all COVID secure requirements.

John Gwalter and Martin Davies attended on behalf of the Swansea Canal Society and we will know in early June if we are being offered a week-long camp in the autumn. Permission to hold such a camp will also require the approval of Glandŵr Cymru, (the Canal and River Trust in Wales).
