Phew, what a scorcher! A modest but keen set of volunteers met at Herbert Street bridge in Pontardawe to continue with clearing Canadian pond weed and other vegetation. Isaac honed his fork throwing technique, Mike donned his waders and Alan manned “Nellie”.

We found a shaded spot for tea. Dai and Aled joined us for a cuppa.

It was so hot that we stopped work after tea, happy in the knowledge that much was achieved despite the tropical heat.
