The work to create the Clydach Canal Centre on Hebron Road in Clydach has started. The first job was the removal of the unusable, very narrow end of the building. Under the supervision of our chairman Gordon, the contractors worked hard all day to complete the demolition and to compact all the brick debris into a splendid base in front of the building. It is so encouraging to see the recycling of otherwise waste material. The photos show the whole building in August of last year before work commenced, two of the work in progress and one of the demolition complete.

There is much to do before the Centre is completed but the Society is so pleased to see the work underway.
