Meanwhile, in Coed Gwilym Park, we were delighted to welcome our Clydach Men’s Shed friends to the Canal today for their annual paddle. Their progress was recorded by an ITV Wales cameraman (right) with Dean (left) conducting the interviews. The edited item will feature in the six o’clock ‘News Wales’ programme. The first of the three two-hulled rafts is launched for the mile journey to Trebanos. Camera crew and SCS Volunteers follow the Men’s Shed boats up the canal. Dean interviews Belinda Gardner, the very hard-working secretary and founder of the Clydach Men’s Shed. Geoffrey Clifford, one of the Men’s Shed members, has his say to the ITV about the benefits of this excellent organisation which brings people together to enjoy their mature years. |
