A warm, bright day saw the volunteers once again at Trebanos, this time concentrating on the lower lock.
First up, and in no particular order, Sharon, Christina and Sue cleared yet more unwanted contents of the cut between the locks – mostly bricks and glass bottles as well as the usual rubbish.

Dave made a great job of cutting back the growth on and above the wall that separates the towpath from Trebanos rugby club.
Andy, Chris and Alan W cleared the land between the lower lock and its by-wash in preparation for the Waterway Recovery Group camps next month.
John Gr and Andy made a grand job of bashing balsam and removing a fallen tree.
Yet more stones were trundled from the upper lock to the lower.
Saving the best until last, Gordon rigged up another of his wonderful devices, this one using lever power to safely lift and nudge exceptionally heavy stones to where the WRG will be needing them.

Time for tea. This weeks master baker was Andy.

After tea, we were pleased to welcome representatives of the WRG to discuss next month’s camps.

Another busy and productive day in very pleasant conditions. Well done everyone.
