Canoe project gets started

The parks department have made a start with levelling the ground next to the old canoe store, to enable containers to be placed there to house the canoes for our hire business starting in March.

Here we see Wayne hard at work on the digger. But, as he said to me, “It’s easy to level the ground, but how do you get the containers from the car park down to the site?”. I said that this was a very, very good question. You can see that there are a number of ‘obstacles’ in the way. He then suggested lifting them over the roof of the old canoe store (shown in the first picture). I was about to ask him how you would get the crane to lift them over the roof of the store from the car park down to the site when I suddenly realised he was stitching me up.
