We hid in the canoe store as the heavens opened this morning. It lasted a half hour only, thank goodness, and after the flood…..

…..Jo, Gill and John cleared up the puddles.

We had a smattering of customers though Jo and Gill had time to paddle their own canoes. No time off though, as they returned with two bags of assorted litter.

We gave a passer by with his dog,  his first chance at kayaking. He had never been on a kayak before but with a minimum of instruction he was away into the far distance. His dog decided to cross the canal and found herself marooned on the far side.  She was eventually rescued by her owner. They will be back next week too.  We look forward to seeing them both.
