We are delighted to announce that the Swansea Canal Society has been shortlisted for the Chartered Institute of Waste Management Commnunity Award for 2014. The Community Award is one of four categories recognised by the CIWM. More details about the Awards can be seen on:-
www.cleanbritainawards.co.uk

The other three categories are for large, medium and small Local Authorities.

The Community Award Category is designed for those groups and organisations that are not local authorities, but still have a positive effect on local environmental quality such as community groups, resident clean ups and Business Improvement Districts (BID’s).

The winners in all the categories will be announced at the presentation ceremony at the Motor Cycle Museum in Solihull on November 26th.
