CLYDACH COMMUNITY COUNCIL AWARDS 2015.

CLYDACH COMMUNITY COUNCIL AWARDS 2015.

We are delighted to learn that we have been nominated for one of the above annual awards. The presentation will take place on Friday April 10th in the Community Hall in Vardre Road Clydach at 6.00pm.

The Work Party spent three months from October to December 2014 clearing the off-side vegetation and the channel between Clydach Aqueduct and Clydach Lock. We also ran our Community Canoe Hire project from the slipway in Coed Gwilym Park, Clydach through the summer of 2014. This will re-open on Easter Sunday, April 5th this year. We are, in partnership with the Canal and River Trust, also busy lobbying for the restoration of the buried lock and canal in Pontardawe Road, Clydach.

We are very pleased that our work in Clydach has been recognised in this way.
