Our New Canoes Arrive: 11.6.14

We now have 10 sparkling new Novacraft 16 foot canoes supplied by WWC. The canoes have had a long journey from North America in specially designed storage containers. They come complete with centre seats which makes for greater comfort for young children going out with two adults. White Water Consultancy from Carmarthen also brought us 10 new helmets designed for very young children. This will all add to the safety and comfort of those between 3 and 8 years of age going out onto the canal with adults.

We now need to protect the bows and keels of these new canoes with rubber matting on the slipway at Coed Gwilym PArk and also carpet protection on the wooden storage frame in the canoe store.

The new canoes are available for hire from this Sunday, 15th June from 11.00 to 3.00pm. The canoes cost £5.00 per session and the sit on top kayaks cost £4 (doubles) and £3 (singles).
