PONTARDAWE RUNNING CLUB

Runners 11.10 (2)

The Pontardawe Runners ran to join us on the canoes this Sunday, 11th October. They were an excited blur of constant movement and it was delight to be with them, although very tiring! Some of them canoed down stream into the new dredged section while others canoed up stream to Trebanos Lock where dredging exists either in ones dreams or is thought to be what Aussie bowlers do to English batsmen.

A wonderful spread of many cakes was provided to replenish them when they returned to base and as we munched they were full of great ideas for future joint activities. A mini-burn in the park and on the canal next spring (a sort of non-threatening triathlon), a charity clothes swap ,and co-marshalling the Ponty Fun Run in December. Phew!

Thanks to all the runners their good humour and enthusiasm and thanks too to all our volunteers for making the day so enjoyable.
