The Week Ahead: Sunday 12th – Saturday 18th November 2023

Tuesday 14th November: Work Party: Those wishing to eat breakfast should meet at the Roadhouse Cafe in Clydach at 8am. Two work parties this week:

A) Most volunteers should assemble at 9:30am in the side-road signposted to the (non-existent) Glan Rhyd Industrial Estate (opposite the Riverside Community Space). We will then walk downstream clearing vegetation, silt and overhanging branches as we go, continuing the work started last week.

B) Sharon will be leading a group to clear the towpath from Coed Gwilym Park in preparation for “Lighting Up The Canal”. Meet her at 9am in the Buried Lock site to collect tools.

Cake and hot drinks will be provided but please bring your own mug.

Saturday 18th November: “Lighting Up The Canal”: The final outdoor event of “225 in 2023” will be the lantern procession in Coed Gwilym Park commencing at 6:30pm. We need many volunteers to marshal the event. If you are able to help, please contact Sharon NOW.
