Sianead Lynch, Bumble Bee Conservation Officer, and Rhiannon Bevan, Water for Wildlife Officer, came to the canal to advise and assist in planting native seeds that they supplied us with, and plants that had been awarded to the society from Keep Wales Tidy.

This coincided with us being joined by more Virgin Media volunteers  (see Virgin Media blog), so we were joined by Rich from Virgin Media and Abigail, our youngest volunteer, aged 3, who was a little bit shy at first but soon joined in with her new, pink trowel.

Sinead and Rhiannon joined Martin and Liz and worked on a shay bed bear Clydach Aqueduct.

In the afternoon Martin took Esther from Virgin Media with the group to Ynysmeudwy and continued to plant more seeds and plants in a sunny position.

At the same time, Gill and Liz planted some primroses, kindly donated by John, our Treasurer, and some cowslips at Trebanos Lock.
