CO-OP PRESENTATION TO THE SCS. 25.11.17
The Swansea Canal Society was delighted and honoured to receive a cheque for £3448.00 from the Clydach Co-op Local Community Fund.
This money was raised by Co-op members pledging a percentage of their purchase of Co-op own brands and also from the Co-op carrier bag levy.
We will put this money towards the purchase of a multi purpose trailer. We thank all the staff of the Co-op in Cydach for their tremendous support throughout the campaign. They have allowed us to have a SCS stall in the foyer of the store and yesterday we raised over £100 from the sale of our vounteers’ hand-made craft items. These can be seen in the foreground of the photo above.
We are proud to have been part of this community-led initiative.
