A much cooler day saw the volunteers meet at the Buried Lock and then split into two groups, as they did last week. The first bunch stayed at the Buried Lock: |

Christina and Diane worked with the indefatigable Gary, on parade only six weeks after having a hip replaced, to clear both sides of the towpath upstream of the lock. |

Gordon mixed mortar for Alan and James to continue to build up the dividing wall, this time with Sharon helping out. |

Meanwhile at the Mond Lock, Andy sawed off overhanging branches, Chris and John cut back brash upstream of the lock and Aled, Kev, Phil and Tom hauled weed out of the cut. |

Tea was taken with cakes and bakes provided by Jan P, compliments of Fortnum and Mason! |

After tea, the weed pullers returned to the Mond lock as Diane, Gary and Andy cleared the towpath alongside the Buried Lock. |
