Tuesday 25th October: Work Party meets at Brownsters Cafe, High Street, Clydach between 8.00 and 9.00am. We will open up the Coed Gwilym Park canoe store this morning at 9.30 as Liz McIvor, our patron, and her family are arriving at 10.00 in the park. If the weather is good we will have a two-canoe raft ready for them, in case they fancy a trip. Clydach Heritage Centre will also be open from 10.00 to 12.00. A small work party will be continuing the clearance of  the moss and weeds off the route of the canal towpath through the Old Highways Depot (map shown above). We will take Liz down to the depot to see the buried lock and our plans for the restoration of the canal and lock. Our application for a grant towards laying a new towpath for walkers and cyclists (Sustrans route 43) will be submitted this month. Please sign our petition of support at :-
