The work party cleared a lot of overhanging vegetation that was blocking the canal. The work needed to be done before the season for nesting birds so as not to disturb the wildlife.

There was also a large amount of fly tipping that needs to be cleared.

The volunteers then tidied up, and were offered the future assistance of a person with leaf blower from Sustrans for which they were grateful
