1st Neath Beavers on the Swansea Canal: 27.6.18.
Beaver Scouts are young people aged between 6 and 8 years old. Young people can join from age 5¾, and can move to Cubs between age 7½ and 8½. Lucy Woods is the leader of the 1st Neath ‘beaver colony’. She brought her group of 24 beavers to Coed Gwilym Park on Wednesday evening to try out our rafts, canoes, and kayaks. They certainly had fun as Lucy’s photos show.
We were delighted to receive this thank you message from Lucy after the event.
“A huge thank you to you and your team for a fantastic evening. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. I hope you don’t mind but I’ve shared your details with our leaders in the district so hopefully there will be many more groups who join you for a new adventure.
We will be back!”
Thank you, Lucy, and thanks to all the Beavers who got such obvious enjoyment out of being on our beautiful canal and in our park.
A big thank you too to Gill and the wonderful volunteers of the Swansea Canal Society, the Pontardawe Paddlers and the 1st Neath Beavers who made sure everyone was safe and sound on the water.
