Late summer programme of events 2013

WORK PARTY PROGRAMME DATES and VENUES

We will be meeting, as we have over the past year or two, on a Tuesday morning to carry out vegetation clearance, paint, litter pick, widen channels, make willow hurdles and do any other activities that will benefit the canal.

We also have one Sunday afternoon session on July 21st so that those people who are unable to join us on a weekday can also get involved.

The work is not too strenuous and the SCS provides the tools, and gloves.  We meet for breakfast each Tuesday at a variety of venues along the 5 miles of the canal at 8.30am.

If you are interested in helping out you will be made very welcome.

For each week’s breakfast venue and more details  please contact Martin Davies, Maintenance Team Organiser, on 07773 206943 or e-mail:   martindavies.swanseacanalsoc@gmail.com

WEDNESDAY 10th SEPTEMBER : DAY TRIP

Day trip to the Over Basin on the Herefordshire and Gloucestershire Canal. Mini-bus to be hired. We hope to have a guided tour of some parts of the canal being restored by the H&G Canal Trust.
