The Coming of the Canoes

At last, our canoes are here. Well, not exactly. The ones that arrived today are on loan from White Water Consultancy as our actual order is in transit in a Boeing 747 high above the Atlantic Ocean.

Never mind,we gave today’s event due ceremony as Keith and Paul from WWC had generously given us use of six new canoes and 14 kayaks sine die. This will enable us to have our dress rehearsal launch on Sunday and an official opening day on the 30th.

The canoes came with much paraphenalia. Helmets and buoyancy aids, trolleys, carts and paddles just kept on emerging from the big blue van. Eventually, it was all stashed away and we took a cermonial shot of the gear, the providers and the buyers.
