Canoe Hire 4.5.14.

The lovely weather over the Bank holiday weekend brought out paddlers in good numbers today, not to mention  over ten of our dedicated volunteers. They were certainly needed.

Our rafts (two canoes tied together) are proving a hit with families with young children and they give any nervous canoeists  a sense of stability and security on the water.

Getting in and out of the boat can be tricky for the beginner and we make sure  we have enough helpers on the slipway to hold the boats steady while they make the transition from water to terra firma.

This family seem to have found the whole experience very enjoyable.

We had more paying customers today than ever before so word is spreading.  They come from every age group and it is so satisfying to see the canal coming to life at last as these last pictures show.
