THE WEEK AHEAD: 17.5.15 TO 23.5.15
Sunday 17th May: Canoe and kayak hire at Coed Gwilym Park, Clydach. Setting up begins at ten. Hire from 11.00 to 2.30pm. £7 canoes, £5 and £4 kayaks. 1 mile of beautiful canal to enjoy for eh park to Trebanso Locks.
Tuesday 19th May: Work Party meets in Brownsters cafe from 8.15 to 9.00am. Work Begins at 9.30 at two sites: 1.) Coed Gwilym Park, to pull up Himalayan Balsam and we then continue along the canal tow path to clear the verges of the same invasive plant. 2.) Lower Trebanos Lock, to finish the new wall at the lower end of the lock and to move the silt behind the willow withies protecting the bank.
Wednesday 20th May: Monthly meeting in the Vadre Rugby Club at 7.15pm.
