IWA Meeting
The SCS welcomed the Inland Waterway Association today, when they held their quarterly meeting in Pontardawe. The committee members had come from all over England and we were very pleased to host the event. Some of the Swansea Canal Society members joined the committee for lunch, and John gave a talk with a short video showing the plans for restoration of the Swansea canal. The IWA gave us advice from their vast experience of restoration and canals. This was followed by a walk in the sunshine along the canal. Thanks to all concerned, especially John, Andy and Alan for their contribution and Jan for her delicious cakes and biscuits. We would also like to thank the IWA for their financial support.
