Depot shed06    Michelle has been back to the Old Highways Depot to record the fantastic demolition work that Mr. Thomas and his workers have done. No sign of them at the time she took these photos but talk about considerate builders! Everything has been left tidy and neat. The roof is half off the old work area building (left) and our portakabin (below) is ready to be moved off its plinth.

Depot looking south   Looking south and north, the area is clear off rubble while the valuable local stone is neatly stashed (picture right) ready to be used to restore the buried lock.

The crucial gable end built right over the lock still awaits demolition.

But  the progress in just a few days is astonishing.
