CLYDACH’S MP VISITS THE SWANSEA CANAL: 9. 3.18.

Tonia Antoniazzi, our MP for the Gower Constituency, joined us to see the work (and play) that is all part off the plans to bring the Swansea Canal to life. She and Michelle, her PA, met us and David Morgan and Jade Hester from the Canal and River Trust at Coed Gwilym Park . Gwyn and Sue Evans from the Clydach Heritage Centre showed her  round the displays and exhibits of  Clydach’s past which includes a time line of the canal’s history.  We  then showed her teh canoe store and she and Michelle were eager to get on board and paddle down to Trebanos.

And we have lift off.

And we have lift off.

After tea and cake made by Ronnie, Andy, Gill and Janet we walked down the canal to see the work that is being done on the Buried Lock site at the back of St. Benedicts Church. In the site office Michelle Davidson had brought her wonderful models  of the lock restoration to show  the visitors.
