Rebecca Evans. Gower AM visits the Swansea Canal. 21.8.18.

IMG_2163 We were pleased to welcome   Rebecca Evans AM. Minister for Housing and Regeneration to the Swansea Canal today.

Cllr. Gordon Walker, Chair of Swansea Canal Society said:-
“We’re delighted that Rebecca Evans, our local assembly member, came to meet our volunteers. They work every week in all weathers to improve the canal. We’re hoping that some dredging will be done soon, so we can operate the canoes better and run a trip boat.
“I can see the Swansea Canal developing as a major visitor destination with people coming to discover the Valleys Heritage and enjoying some healthy exercise.”
