Work Party: Tuesday 6th October 2026

Today was another game of three halves, with the added bonus of miserable drizzle up to tea time. Moira and Sharon battled against the elements to weed the Canal Centre gardens, this time without photographic proof. Most of the action was further up the canal.

Alan, Aled and James continued to build the dividing wall with Lance and Rowan providing the muck.

Chris and Rowan removed the shuttering from the path along the lock.

Pete and Andy hauled out branches and a giant pollution retaining float – or was it an anaconda?

David, John and Tom dragged out more weed. Will they ever reach the end?

Gordon continued with creating frames for the paddles.

Tea was taken back at the Centre. Andy provided treats both sweet and savoury.

All these tasks continued after tea, with the weather much improved. The wall building team finished facing the dividing wall!
