Birchgrove Comprehensive School: Thursday 5th March 2026

Birchgrove Comprehensive School: Thursday 5th March 2026

Today we welcomed ten students from Birchgrove Comprehensive School’s Outdoor Learning Group. The purpose of this group is to give learners some experience outwith the classroom. Alan, Gordon and Sharon from the Society briefed the students on the job in hand and soon they were hard at work lining the by-wash in the Hidden Lock site in Clydach, carrying on with what the regular volunteers were doing the previous Tuesday.

The students enjoyed this activity very much and took great pride in their work. They told us that they are looking forward to coming back next week.

The Society was very pleased with the session too. We pride ourselves on being a community based group so the opportunity to work with youngsters from a local school was particularly welcome.
