COAST AND COUNTRY ON THE SWANSEA CANAL: 22.10.18.
THE ITV CAMERA CREW CAME TO VISIT US FOR A PIECE ABOUT OUR VOLUNTEERS FOR THE REGULAR FRIDAY NIGHT PROGRAMME ‘COAST AND COUNTRY’. IT SHOULD BE BROADCAST IN THE NOT TOO DISTANT FUTURE, PERHAPS AS ONE OF THE PIECES FOR THE NEW SERIES WHICH STARTED LAST FRIDAY NIGHT.
WE CONCENTRATED ON THE TOWPATH BANKS WHICH WE ARE REPAIRING SO WHILE THE CEMENT MIX WAS PREPARED AT THE CANOE STORE IT WAS TAKEN ON THE DUMPER TO THE TEAM LAYING THE SANDBAGS AND THE TOP COPING STONES FURTHER UP THE CANAL.

WE ALSO VISITED THE CLYDACH BURIED LOCK SITE WHERE WE SHOWED THE ITV TEAM THE MODELS OF THE RESTORED LOCK AND ALSO CARRIED OUT THE DETAILED MEASUREMENTS FOR ALL THE STRUCTURES WE WILL BE BUILDING ON THE SITE.
WE THANK SION, NIKKI AND GERRY FOR PUTTING OUR EFFORTS ON CAMERA AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING THE FINISHED ARTICLE SOMETIME IN NOVEMBER.
