DUMP, RAMP AND RAKE: 12.12.17.
Ah, bitter chill it was! No cementing or bulb planting possible at the Old Highways depot in Pontardawe Road Clydach today. What did arrive though, in a 10 ten bulk order, was lot of stone dust. This is for the ramp up to and across the towpath to give a reasonable gradient for the tarmac lorries who are due to arrive on the 13th December. The work to tarmac the new towpath should take two days.
The stone dust was dumped in one big heap and all our volunteers then got to work with drag forks, shovels and rake to form it into a a gentle downward slope.
