“Easter Bunnies” 2025

“Easter Bunnies” 2025

Today marked the start of the 2025 season of canoe and kayak hire in Coed Gwilym Park. The weather was truly fabulous – sunny and warm – as we kicked off with our “Easter Bunnies” extravaganza. The Canal Society hired out the boats, the Heritage Centre organised the Easter themed treasure hunt and the Community Pavilion was open to provide refreshments.

The boat hire was quickly doing very brisk trade. Anna and Cerys were on hand to make sure the paddlers were properly kitted out. Soon party after party were paddling their occasionally wobbly way to Trebanos and back.

Sue was on hand to sell craft. Most of the wonderful items were made by Jan with others by Ronnie.

A very busy start to the season, made all the more successful by the lovely weather. Let’s hope our luck continues to the end of September!
