FURTHER WORK AT YNYSMEUDWY: 13.2.18.
In heavy rain we laid ‘crush and run’ gravel over the extremely muddy areas by the five bar gate at the entrance to bridge 9 over the canal. This will harden up and provide a reasonably dry access to the canal. We cleared more grass-free beds at Ynysmeudwy Lower Lock prior to wildflower seed planting a little later on and, thirdly, we hacked our way through the bramble to clear a path to the offisde for future invasive reed removal which is clogging the channel.
