JULIE JAMES, AM, AT THE SWANSEA CANAL: 14.8.18

20180814_163555It was a great pleasure for us to welcome Julie James, Leader of the House, to the Swansea Canal yesterday(front row above, second from right).  Julie is a committed green campaigner and environmentalist and we were, therefore, very happy to show her the work we are doing to repair the eroded washholes on the bank of the canal and the improvements we have made to the towpath in the buried Lock site.

It was a double honour for us as Richard Thomas also visited us. He is the new Regional Director of the Canal and River Trust for the South West and Wales area. He is standing next to Julie  James in the picture above.

We took all our visitors down to the Buried Clydach Lock site and showed them the stunning models that Michelle has made of how the restored lock will look.
