Liz McIvor is Our Patron!
We are absolutely overcome with delight that Liz McIvor has agreed to be the Patron of the Swansea Canal Society.
Liz is the writer and presenter of the BBC4 series ‘Canals: The Making of a Nation. She has also written the book to accopmapny the series.
Liz works full time as the Curator of Social History and Technology at the Bradford Museums and Galleries and has a lifelong love of the canals which was inspired by her childhood in Manchester. She lived for some time in Ffrorestfach whilst working as a curator and historical adviser in South Wales.
