Museum Exhibit Goes On Tour

Museum Exhibit Goes On Tour

Following a hugely successful run at the National Waterfront Museum in Swansea we are pleased to announce that the exhibition celebrating 225 years of the Swansea Canal will be coming to a venue near you soon.

The exhibition finishes at the museum on 18th September and will then be moving to The Welfare, Ystradgynlais until 13th October. Next there is a chance to catch it at Pontardawe Heritage Centre until 28th October before heading up the valley once more to Craig y Nos Country Park for 2 weeks from 30th October to 12th November.

As well as historical information since the opening of the canal in 1798, the displays cover the work of the Swansea Canal Society and future plans to develop the canal as a tourist destination. It also features videos made by local schoolchildren.

Free to view at all the venues, why not come along and learn more about our canal?
