Retiring Chairman

Retiring Chairman

David Henry our Chairman who resigned  at our AGM due to many other commitments.

We would like to express our appreciation of the work David has put in.  He agreed to take the role at a difficult time for the society in October 2013.  He has been a resolute and articulate defender of the society’s aims since then and his role in persuading the Swansea Council to let us use the Coed Gwilym Canoe Store was paramount. We couldn’t have asked for more.  Fortunately he will continue to work as a volunteer, so he will continue to be a big part of the society.

We wish David and his family lots of luck and happiness in the future.

This is one of many photos we have of David showing his versatility in practical matters as well as administrative.
