REVISED DATE FOR CANOE TRAINING is now SUNDAY 25TH MARCH.
Canoe Training for the those who wish to volunteer for manning the canoe store when the hiring of canoes aand kayaks starts on Easter Sunday will now take place on Sunday, 25th March, starting at 11.00am. Please note that this is the first day of British Summer Time so make sure you put your clocks one hour forward when you go to bed on Saturday night. Fully qualified instructors will be on hand to teach the rudiments of safety on water.
We need as many volunteers as possible for admin at the store, to help canoeists put on bouyancy aids and helmets, use of throw lines, and getting paddlers in and out of canoes. Basic steering and health and safety will also be included.
