TATA STAFF HELP OUT: 25.9.18.
It is always a great adrenaline buzz when our Tuesday Work Party volunteers are joined by outside organisations ready and willing to lend us a hand. So it was on Tuesday when eight staff from the Tata Steel works (Finance Section) arrived to help us clear the invasive reeds from the canal northof Pont John bridge. The location of the reeds might just as well be described as south of Clydach Aqueduct as their colonisation of that stretch of the canal is almost complete. But we have fought back and with the help of the TATA volunteerws we were able to make even greater strides in uprooting them.
We thank TATA for their sterling work and look forward to working with them in the near future.
