THE WEEK AHEAD: 13TH FEBRUARY TO 19TH FEBRUARY 2017

The channel cleared 7.2.17.

TUESDAY 14TH FEBRUARY: Work Party meets at Brownsters cafe between 8.00 and 9.00am. Work starts from the canal side behind Clydach Police Station. We have more heaps of vegetation (shown above) to transport from the towpath to the off-side for composting. Also, there is unsightly fly-tipping beyond the wall of St John’s church next to the Mond bridge to move.

14th FEBRUARY at 13.30pm: Coed Gwilym Park Nature Reserve. Pen Y Bryn School will be bringing approximately 6 pupils to erect Nest Boxes in our newly formed Nature Reserve behind the  Canoe Store. Boxes will be suitable for Blue Tits, Great tits, Pied Fycatchers and Nuthatches.
The event has been organised by our Education Officer, John Donovan. We thank the City and County of Swansea for the donation of this area of the park to the SCS.
