THE WEEK AHEAD: 13TH JUNE 2016 TO 19TH JUNE 2016

Tuesday 14th June: Work Party meets in Brownsters Cafe, High Street, Clydach between 8.00 and 9.00am. Work starts between Holly Street Bridge and Mama Mia’s night club, Pontardawe to remove fallen trees, supermarket trollies , umbrellas and general detritus from the canal. We also need to reconnoitre the Holly Street Bridge area for suitable places to launch canoes for the Pontardawe Summer Fest.  Below is a photo of the Canal running by St Peter’s Church, Pontardawe in 1960.

Sunday, 19th June: Canoes for hire in Coed Gwilym Park from 11.00am to 3.15pm. Last hire at 2.30pm. Canoes £7, kayaks, £5 and £4. Full details of terms and conditions under Canoe Hire on the website.
