SUNDAY 15TH JULY: Canoes and kayaks for hire in Coed Gwily Park, Clydach SA6 5NS. First hire, 10.30am; Last Hire 2.30 pm. Full details of terms and conditions on this website under ‘Canoe Hire’. Canoes £7, rafts £10, kayaks £5 and £4.

MONDAY 16TH JULy: The Canal and River Trust contractors will be on the southern end of the canal clearing blanket weed, azolla and invasive reeds from the southern end of the canal.

MONDAY 16TH JULY: WE WILL BE WELCOMING WORKERS FROM AGGREKKO IN PORT TALBOT TO ASSIST US IN CLEARING THE CANADIAN POND WEED IN THE COED GWILYM TO  CLYDACH AQUEDUCT SECTION.

MONDAY 16TH JULY: Monthly meeting of the Swansea Canal Society at the Vardre Rugby Club, Hebron Road, Clydach at 7.00pm.

TUESDAY 17th JULY; Work party meets at Brownsters cafe Clydach between 8.00 and 9.00am. Work starts at 9.15 at Pont John bridge to clear weed, algae and reeds from the canal south of the Clydach Aqueduct.

WEDNESDAY 18TH JULY: OUR GREEN FLAG REPRESENTATIVES WILL BE TRAVELLING TO THE MEMORIAL HALL IN BARRY TO TAKE PART IN THE AWARDS CEREMONY FOR  THE KEEP WALES TIDY, PARKS AND WATERWAYS ENTRANTS.
