THE WEEK AHEAD: 19TH APRIL TO 25TH APRIL.

Sunday 19th April: Canoes for hire in Coed Gwilym Park, Clydach. Volunteers set up at ten for 11.00am start. Last hire at 2.30. £7 canoes, £5 and £4 for kayaks.

Tuesday 21st April: Work Party meets at Brownsters Cafe between 8.15 and 9.00. Collect tools at the depot, Hebron Road, Clydach at 9.15. Work commences at 9.30 at Trebanos Lower Lock, The Green, Trebanos.

4 of our members will be attending the Neath Port Talbot Local Development Plan Inspector’s Hearing at 2.00pm. It is vital that the route of the canal between Trebanos and Pontardawe and between Godrer Graig and Ystalyfera is fully protected in the final LDP publication. The IWA and the Canal and River Trust will speak on behalf of the Neath Canal and the Swansea Canal.
