THE WEEK AHEAD: 4TH MARCH TO 10TH MARCH 2018.
MONDAY 5TH OF MARCH: Monthly open meeting of the Swansea Canal Society at the Vardre Rugby Club, Hebron Road at 7.00pm . All welcome.
TUESDAY 6TH MARCH: PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO WORK PARTY TODAY AS THE WORK DAY HAS BEEN CHANGED TO FRIDAY (DETAILS BELOW).
FRIDAY 9TH OF MARCH: VISIT BY TONIA ANTONIAZZI, MP FOR GOWER, TO THE SWANSEA CANAL. TONIA WILL MEET US AT THE COED GWILYM CAR PARK AT 11.00AM.
WORK PARTIES COMMENCE AT 09.45 at 1.) THE OLD HIGHWAYS DEPOT AND 2) AT THE CANOE STORE IN COED GWILYM PARK. PLEASE ALL MEET IN COED GWILYM PARK CAR PARK AT 9.30am.
WE WILL BE SHOWING TONIA THE CANOES, AND KAYAKS AS WELL AS HAVING A BOAT ON THE CANAL TO CLEAR OVERHANGING BRANCHES PRIOR TO THE CANOE HIRE SEASON STARTING ON EASTER SUNDAY. MARK TUCKER OF SUPHUT WILL BE DEMONSTRATING THE STAND-UP PADDLE BOARDS WHICH WILL BE A NEW ADDITION TO THE HIRE OPTIONS THIS SUMMER.

THE CLYDACH HERITAGE CENTRE WILLALSO BE OPEN AND REFRESHMENTS WILL BE SERVED THERE BY THE FRIENDS OF CLYDACH HERITAGE CENTRE AND OUR OWN VOLUNTEERS.
WE WILL BE JOINED BY OUR FRIENDS FROM WHITETHORNS DAY CARE CENTRE AND CINDY FROM THE CLYDACH COMMUNITY WELLBEING PRACTICE.
WE WILL ALSO TAKE TONIA TO THE OLD HIGHWAYS DEPOT NEXT TO ST BENEDICTS CHUCCH FOR HER TO SEE THE NEW TOWPATH AND THE WORK WE ARE DOING THERE.
